MarbleK adventure started in January 2019. But very slowly, as I had no idea it would become MarbleK.
At my daily work, I had a standard wrist rest made of plastic/fake leather which started to wear out and fall apart.. So I was looking for a more durable replacement.
At that time, knowing that Taiwan has an important industry on marble and stones, I wanted to get a wrist rest made out of white marble for myself.
It was not easy to find a manufacturer as they don't all have websites.. and the biggest part of the stone industry only works on construction material or big sculpture/decoration projects..
One of them was open to make a prototype based on my design and had low MOQ (10 pieces). I was looking at it purely for myself, but I thought I could sell back the remaining pieces.
I was not sure of what to expect, but after two months I got my prototype :
